Call for proposals for Entrepreneurship Education

A call is declared concerning proposals for Entrepreneurship Education.

Purpose

This call aims to support the implementation of the principle 1 of "Small Business Act" and the Oslo Agenda for Entrepreneurship Education in Europe. "Small Business Act" promotes an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset among young people through the inclusion of entrepreneurship as a key competence in the curriculum and ensurance of its proper implementation in the learning process.

The purpose of this call is to promote projects with high added value at European level on entrepreneurship education. Actions will be aimed at teachers and young people in primary, secondary and higher education.

 

Eligible applicants:

Applications from legal entities established in Liechtenstein, Norway, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Iceland, Montenegro, Turkey, Albania, Israel and Serbia.

Applicants must operate in a transnational consortium of partners from at least two other states. Additional conditions are:

1. partners leading organization who meet the same criteria for eligibility as a candidate, the candidate must be project coordinator,

2. Applicants must be legal entities,

3. Applicants must meet the following definition: an entity of public or private law, whose main business is in the field of entrepreneurship education. These may include:

- Public administration at all levels

- National, regional and local authorities

- Educational institutions (primary and secondary schools, vocational schools, universities, etc.)

- NGOs, associations and foundations that are active in relevant fields,

- Organizations and institutions providing services in the areas of education and training (public and private)

- Commerce and Industry and other organizations

- Business associations and networks to support business.

 4. companies incorporated and registered under the Act. If a structure or organization is not incorporated, should be referred to as a natural person to assume legal responsibility.

 

Eligible Activities

Support will be given to proposals, with the following objectives:

 Lot 1:

a) establishing a common European model for teachers in primary and secondary schools to support the development of their skills and methods for applying knowledge in entrepreneurship to different subjects

b) developing, organizing and implementing pan-European educational / training workshops for teachers on entrepreneurship in higher education.

 Lot 2:

Creating a European platform for teachers / trainers to enable cross-border exchange of best practices, methods and materials in the field of entrepreneurship education.

 Lot 3:

Development and testing of a common European framework of tools and indicators to assess the entrepreneurial attitude, approach and skills acquired by students who participated in entrepreneurship education.

 The planned project start date is November 1, 2012

 

Maximum duration of action:

- Lot 1: 36 months

- Lot 2: 24 months

- Lot 3: 18 months.

 

Budget:

The maximum budget allocated for the activity was approximately 2.45 million euros.

Indicative number of projects to receive support is between four and eight depending on the size and quality of proposals received.

 

In particular:

- On "Lot 1" will be supported no more than four projects

- On "Lot 2" will be supported no more than two projects

- ON "Lot 3" will be supported no more than two projects.

 

The maximum rate of EU co-financing of eligible costs up to 60%.

The maximum EU co-financing - ceiling for individual projects:

 

- For "Lot 1" to 500 000

- For "Lot 2" to 400 000

- For "Lot 3" to 250 000.
