Call for European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) Programme
An invitation Programme is declared concerning the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) Programme.
Purpose
European Cooperation in Science and Technology Programme brings together researchers and experts from different countries working on specific topics. Within COST are encouraged proposals for Actions contributing to the scientific, technological, economic, cultural and social development. The programme promotes the creation of new, innovative, interdisciplinary and wideranging research networks in Europe.
Eligible applicants
Proposals should include researchers from at least five countries participating in European Cooperation in Science and Technology. The financial support for an activity with 19 countries involved is around 130,000 euros a year, usually for a period of four years, provided there is a budget available.
Eligible Activities
The European Cooperation in Science and Technology Programme does not fund the research itself but the meetings, conferences, short term scientific exchanges and other activities that contribute to networking.
The program is organized in nine broad areas of research: Biomedicine and Molecular Biosciences, Chemistry and Molecular Science and Technology, Earth Sciences and Environmental Management, Food and Agriculture, Forestry, products and services associated with them, People, Society and Culture Health, Information and Communication Technology, Materials, Physics and Nanosciences, Transport and Urban Development.
