Italy, 18-21 November 2009



ALICE Gruntdvig project
Colonnella, Italy: 18 - 21 November 2009

The meeting was held in the city Colonnella, Province Torah, Italy. The meeting was aimed at ALICE exchange of experience in organizing cultural events. Organizations from six countries attended the event: Spain, Belgium, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Italy and Romania. The main objectives of the meeting included the development of presentation skills, communication skills, use of language. Each of the project partners presented a cultural event organized in their countries: the origin of the event and organization difficulties.

Bulgarian Development Agency presented two cultural events: Surva festival organized annually in Pernik and the Night of Museums in Plovdiv and Sofia.

Two festivals were presented by the coordinators from Fondazione Abruzzo Europa: Festival of traditional food and wines in Torano and The festival of the Barron I Tortoreto.

Twelve presentations were presented at the meeting:

  • Music Festival organized in Habay (Belgium)

  • Organization of a course for eco drivers (Belgium)
  • Night of Museums (Bulgaria)
  • Cultural Centre in Habay (Belgium)
  • Organization of folklore events (Belgium)
  • Festival of Baron (Italy)
  • Voluntary theater for adults (Spain)
  •  


    The variety of events with different cultural backgrounds and organization created an opportunity for exchange experiences among partners. Particularly valuable element of the debates, which were held after each presentation, was to share various problems in the organization of events.

    The meeting concluded with a summary of the results of all presentations and defining work for the further development of the project.



    Romania, 9-14 April 2010



    The hosting partner was the Technical College “Gheorghe Cartianu”-Piatra Neamt -Romania (east part of the country). A special focus was put on the traditional dances and the way they pass to the new generations. Such dances were demonstrated by the folk dances group form the cultural center in Habay and the dance group form “Gheorghe Cartianu”.

    Another part of the meeting was aimed at sharing experience on handicraft. The focus was on textile different technique, traditional and modern, and it was presented by Ms Isabelle Aubry from Belgium.

    Bulgarian Development Agency presented three events at the meeting: Rose festival in Kazanlak, Perperikon festival and the Organization of the seminar “Participation of social partners in EU projects”. Our idea was to present two good examples for a cultural event organized in Bulgaria and one that is organized by BDA.

    The partners from Spain presented the spring festival that is annually organized in Sevilla. It was a chance for one of their adult learners to practice English language and presentation skills.

    Coordinators from Italy presented two presentations: Paglio del Barone, and the summer programme in Tortoreto, a big resort city, close to Colonella.

    The third project meeting in household "Poligono Sur", held in Seville, Spain. Special emphasis was placed on the experience of each participant in Grundtvig projects. All partners presented their first step in the program, the difficulties experienced and the benefits from their participation.

     

    By the Bulgarian Agency for Development was presented to study the various instruments for financing culture in Europe. Culture is an EU priority since 1993, and in 2006, the Commission outlines a comprehensive European strategy for culture.

     

    The main emphasis in the presentations of partners from Belgium was put on the festival of the cultural center in the town of Abbey, and in particular on the concerts they organize each year.

     

    On the last day of the meeting was held a working session where participants were divided into groups such as the goal was to identify different benefits from their participation in Grundtvig.

     

    Bulgaria, 16 - 18 May 2011

     

    In the period 16 – 18 May 2011 in Sofia, Bulgaria was held the last partnership meeting under the project Adult Learning in Cultural Evens (ALICE). The event was attended by 15 representatives from 5 European countries – Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, Romania and Spain.  

    Special accent during the meeting was put on the innovative methods for managing cultural events. The presented methods were consistent with the specifics of each participating country and were supported by series of good practices in the field. During the meeting was created a platform for exchange of experience and professional competencies between the partner countries and was given the opportunity for debates and discussions under the assigned topics. 

    Bulgarian Development Agency presented two independent researches held under the project and connected respectively with the innovative methods and approaches for managing cultural events and the methods for encouraging and development the cultural tourism in the country. 

    During the meeting was also discussed the actual status of the project. Between the partners was agreed the development of a compendium with good practices for the organization and management of cultural events. The compendium and the project results will be available to all stakeholders trough the web site of the project http://www.grundtvig-alice.eu/.
